Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in International Agricultural Development and Engagement

This graduate Certificate in International Agricultural Development and Engagement at N.C. A&T State University – America's largest HBCU – provides students interested in agricultural development the requisite knowledge and skills that will enable them to secure employment and effectively work across cultural boundaries. The certificate focuses on:

  • International trade issues
  • Policy analysis techniques
  • Project management, monitoring and evaluation
  • Techniques for solving complex problems involving multiple stakeholders
  • Behavior and culture in work organizations

Specializations (or Careers)

  • Mid-level personnel at the USDA Foreign Agricultural Services' missions globally
  • Trade coordinator for international corporations

Admission Requirements

Applicants should have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in agriculture, social or other related science.

Program Requirements

The program requires completion of 12 credit hours from the following four courses:

  • ABM 638: Special Problems in Agribusiness
  • ABM 738: International Agribusiness Trade and Policy
  • AGED 712: Agricultural Policy
  • AGED 713: Program Project Management
